Studio Forge is an architecture and interior design studio, based in South Oxfordshire. Our work is rigorously calm and restrained across a range of typologies. always seeking to craft quiet luxury, visual stillness, and a connection to elemental materials for subtle environments that age gracefully and foster wellbeing. Cal and Emmeline Robertson founded the practice and lead every project; working predominantly in high end design-led residential commissions.
Our work often spans across architecture and interior design as one harmonious whole, rather than as separate disciplines, working on all areas as required to balance a vision of functionality and beauty for our clients.
In a world of constant visual stimulation and demanding interactions, we believe in forming sanctuaries, places of purity and restraint. We seek to craft and curate places of stillness, in touch with a primal human connection to nature and the earth, preoccupied with light, material, proportion and rituals.
Where required, the practice works creatively and collaboratively with others who share universal and mindful values on sustainability and wellness. In addition to our relationships with makers, artisans and quality suppliers, Studio Forge have a network of trusted consultants, collaborators and freelancers we draw resource from, including: planning and heritage consultants, architectural technicians, structural engineers, M&E consultants, visualisers and more. Currently working on projects right across the span of the UK, many of our projects tend to be in London, the Home Counties and the South. We carry substantial professional indemnity and public liability insurances and have also worked and consulted on projects in Germany, Norway and Southern France. Our work tends to be in building refurbishments, remodelling and extensions, in both modern and heritage properties.
